|By Gale Digital Scholar Lab Product Management team|
Gale Digital Scholar Lab creates new possibilities by offering solutions to the most common challenges facing researchers in the digital humanities today. Since its launch in 2018, the team has engaged with librarians, instructors, and students to find out what they’d like to see in the tool and how they use it for research, teaching, and learning. Based on those continuous conversations, the team regularly makes improvements to the user experience.
In December 2021, Gale Digital Scholar Lab is going to be refreshed with a new design and enhancements that are grounded in user feedback. The Build, Clean, and Analyze workflow remains the same, and the product will also include versions of the six analysis tools researchers use today.
This new Gale Digital Scholar Lab experience will replace the current experience on December 17, 2021.
All content sets and clean configurations will migrate to the new experience, with no action required by current researchers. However, we’re unable to migrate existing analysis visualisations and tabular data, given the nature of these enhancements. To ensure you retain your work, we suggest Gale Digital Scholar Lab researchers download and save your analyses by December 17, 2021. There are multiple options for download, including raw analysis data (CSV and JSON) and several visualisation image formats.
To take a tour of the enhanced Gale Digital Scholar Lab before December 17, select the “Preview Experience” link in the top navigation bar. We are regularly updating this preview experience to provide a sense of the refreshed Gale Digital Scholar Lab to come!
